Referring to climatic sceneries in large halls, three design approaches to artificial climate are presented in this contribution: freely suspended fabrics forming an installation, vertical vegetation as part of a subtropical courtyard, and a landscape mural contributing to the visual regime of a panoptic public bath. These designs stand for the staged character of climate in big cities, in which visual impressions are synaesthetically combined with thermal experiences.
