Lecture‚ Man-made Weather. Natural Ventilation as Cultural Heritage of Southeast Asia‘, at the Chair for Architecture and Design, Urban Mutations on the Edge Seminar, 2/24/2014, Prof. Marc Angélil, ETH Zurich
AUTHOR: Sascha Roesler
In my current research project, I understand natural ventilation as cultural heritage of Southeast Asia, investigating the thermal structures, thermal practices and thermal regimes that either support or hinder the application of natural forms of ventilation. In this, the governing question is how this cultural heritage might today, under conditions of widespread social change and advancing urbanisation, be renewed and reintroduced into the architecture of Southeast Asia.
